Talk to us about the ideal solution to keep your conservatory cool in the summer and warm in the winter
In the UK when it’s cold and wet in the depths of winter, it can be hard to imagine why you might need air conditioning in your home. However, we will all have recognised that UK summers are getting longer and warmer and a hot, stuffy house can be very uncomfortable to live. Cooling down your home and creating a pleasant environment for you and your family has many benefits; from more productivity to a better night's sleep, particularly when it's warm and muggy outside.
We recognise that when it comes to choosing what air conditioning system might be appropriate and right for you, terms and acronyms such as split or standalone, BTU and refrigerant can be bewildering and confusing. That’s why we put so much emphasis and time into our consultation, cutting through the jargon de-bunking myths and getting to know you and your particular needs and circumstances – including your property type, how it’s used and matching that to your budget.
While standalone units might appear attractive due to their portability and relative lower cost, they really only fit a very small niche use case and are no match for a well designed and installed split or multi-split air conditioning system.
We find that in the majority of cases, to meet your needs, it will be necessary to recommend a split system and while these systems are undoubtedly more expensive, we believe it to be a sound investment and money well spent.
A professionally designed, installed and maintained home air conditioning system will last for ten or even twenty years and in terms of your comfort levels and will pay for itself many times over.
Air conditioning units work in a similar manner to fridges and freezers. They move warm air from inside an area to the outside and then circulate cooled air back into the space.
Air con units are in fact heat pumps that use low amounts of electricity to create cooling and heating for your home. Since the energy comes from the air, its incredibly energy efficient with a coefficient of performance ratio (COP) of 4.0 or higher. The value of COP directly indicates the heating efficiency of heat pump, so the higher the energy efficiency, the more power-saving the air heat pump will be. Therefore, COP is an important parameter to measure the efficiency and performance of an air conditioning system.
We pride ourselves that the systems we recommend are properly designed for your needs, easy to operate, very quiet, discrete and excellent value for money.
Our quote will include everything you need for a fully commissioned and working air conditioning system.
